The Tall Girl’s Guide to Labor Day Deals

Hello lovelies!

Okay so today I just wanna hold it down real quick for all my tall ladies.

As you know if you peeped my intro post about myself, I am a very tall lady. I’m 5’11” to be exact. So as you could imagine, finding clothes can be a bit of an ordeal. It’s hard to find fly fashions that are still well fitted and have long enough inseams and sleeve lengths. It’s kind impossible. And then even when you do find something, chances are that you have to come a lot out of pocket just for a couple extra inches of fabric…

Now there are a few places that I love and go back to on a regular because they appreciate a statuesque gal like myself. And the best part about this weekend is that it is Labor Day Weekend. EVERYTHING IS ON SALE!

So here’s a quick little list of my Top 5 Retailers where all you Amazonian babes out there can rack up on some good tall girl fits just in time for the upcoming fall season as well as some great summer steals (plus an extra treat at the end…)

This is one site that I am sure plenty of tall ladies have already heard of. They carry sizes 0-20 and have a pretty cool Labor Day sale going on this weekend, I say it may be worth a trip to a store or online.

Express I love so much, especially for my pants! I have been buying ALL of my jeans exclusively and about half my slacks from Express literally since I was 12 years old. They have never failed me. They carry sizes 0-18, and also have an array of fits that even fit those of us with a little more butt and hips.

(P.S. In my experience, there are a lot more tall options online than in store. What I would do is go in store to try on for fit if you need to, and then order a long length online.)

Remember when I said I get half of my slacks from Express? That’s because I get the other half right here at New York & Company. When I got hired at my first corporate job, I pretty much cleaned out this store and Now almost everything I wear to work is all NY&Co.

They carry sizes 00-20, and it’s not only the pants that have long lengths. There a huge selection of any and everything you could want for your entire wardrobe in well proportioned lengths for the taller woman. NY&Co is often a one-stop shop for me, and I know you will love it too.

As you can see, Old Navy has two different sales going on right now right at the same time, which can be very beneficial if need something that is not included in the regular Labor Day sale, they have a back up just for you.

I have found that Old Navy is another reliable place for pants, especially when I needed uniform khakis back in grade school. But its not just the bottoms that rock, they also have dresses at appropriate lengths and jackets and shirts with longer sleeves.

They carry their regular sizes at 0-20, and plus sizes at 16-30. However, the tall items for women are only under the regular section for some reason. That is unfortunate.

Now one spot that obviously caters to the full figured ladies is Lane Bryant, and they certainly have selections for tall women. However, it seems like it’s only jeans and pants. I’m not sure why they forgot tall women have long arms too. But okay. I say get those booty hugging jeans this weekend, it’s still warm enough out to figure out the sleeve thing.

One last gem that I recently came across is! As we tall ladies all know, a lot of us have bigger bodies, therefore a lot of us have bigger feet. I wear a size 10 1/2 myself (which is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find in stores). But this site right here…

Shoes. com carries multiple brands in every size you can imagine! Literally. Their sizes go up to a US 20 (with all half sizes) and up to a EU 47. And don’t worry, there are a plethora of narrow and wide options as well.

Last but not least, don’t forget to download your coupon apps like RetailMeNot and Shopular, for all of the nearby deals that you may even know about!

I hope this post was plenty helpful to all, good luck and happy shopping! ❤
